This exciting new option allows students to obtain training that will complement their thesis research in our PhD programs.

The Certificate in Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER) Program is a multidisciplinary, comprehensive, and individualized training program that is designed for individuals who would like to obtain additional, specialized training in CER.

The Biomedical Informatics Certificate program is a 15 credit experience. The Certificate program will serve students with a wide variety of goals and backgrounds, including those in the Health Science Libraries’ Library/Informatics Traineeship.

The Biomedical Informatics Online Certificate Program is a 15 credit (minimum) experience. The Certificate program will serve students with a wide variety of goals and backgrounds, including those with interest in Pathology Informatics, Dental Informatics and Global Health Informatics.

To receive the Certificate in Clinical Research, trainees must complete 15 credits of coursework. It generally takes 1 year to fulfill the requirements for the certificate.

For individuals who do not want to pursue a Master of Science but who desire to take specific courses for added knowledge and skills in teaching or research, the Certificate in Medical Education may be appropriate.
