Prospective Students

Collaborative and Diverse Research Culture

Graduate training programs in the School of Medicine are specifically geared to match and complement the inherent strengths of each student. We work with the individual, and their unique set of goals, to create the right balance between a strong, programmatic focus and valuable, interdepartmental cross training. In fact, a well-rounded experience means that our graduate students conduct research under faculty mentors in virtually every one of the school's 28 departments.

Our environment is shaped by the diversity and forward-thinking initiatives of our students, faculty, and partners. We emphasize collaboration and use it as an effective technique in providing a world-class program to prospective students like you who have a hunger for discovery. Many programs intersect with colleagues throughout Health Sciences, the Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences, the Swanson School of Engineering, and at the neighboring Carnegie Mellon University.

While other top-level schools might offer a singular advantage, our programs can provide unmatched educational excellence and accessibility to the individualized training you crave. Take time to explore which program is the right fit for your scientific interests.
